THE INSURANCE PROCESS:

We understand that navigating the complexities of the insurance process can be overwhelming for homeowners. Our roof replacement services ensure a seamless and stress-free new roof experience. Our team of experts can help you assess our damage report of your property and provide repair or replacement options.

Here is our process: If your home is damaged by a storm, it’s essential for you to quickly begin the insurance and repair process. Waiting will just lead to more severe damage. A typical claims process works as follows:

Assess Damage

Sometimes roof damage is as obvious as a fallen tree on your home or a section of missing shingles, telling you right away repairs are necessary. This is not always the case, however, which is why it’s important to call a trained and insured and licensed roofing contractor like StormGuard Roofing as soon as possible. This inspection will tell you how much damage you have and whether repairs or a replacement is necessary.

Claims Adjustment

Insurance companies typically send a claims adjuster to inspect the roof and determine the value of the roof. Because our experts are also versed in insurance terms and claims, we assist with this step of the process and provide an initial valuation of the roof and cost estimate for repairs or replacement. We will also meet with your insurance adjuster as a technical advisor to review the damage to your property.

Insurance Company Approval

Once the claim is submitted to the insurance company, they will typically provide you with a check to initiate the repair or replacement process. This check is typically broken into two parts. The first payment is a deposit to the contractor to initiate the replacement of the roof. The second check will be released to the homeowner by the insurance company once the contractor has submitted the completion paperwork and final invoice for the project. The homeowner will then submit the final payment to the contractor.

Approved Coverage?

It’s important to note: If the insurance adjuster confirms your roof or property
has weather related damage your carrier will determine the amount and price of a roof repair/replacement, based on their comprehensive inspection.

The insurance company will not just cover old roofs, poor workmanship from previous contractors but, discontinued materials (Shingles or Vinyl Siding) on your home could be eligible for replacement.

Damages Not Covered

If your roof is not covered by insurance, we remain committed to providing you with affordable roof repair and replacement services. At StormGuard Roofing, we are pleased to offer flexible financing options to accommodate your individual needs.

Roof Repairs Or Replacement

Certificate of Completion

A dedicated and certified Production Manager will make sure your roof was installed correctly. The insurer will then release a second check that covers the remaining cost of the work done to your home.
